Gallery: Shelter Recovery Programme

Two years on the long road to recovery

Shelters represent human dignity, safety and  privacy. More than just an essential instrument for  survival, shelters serve as sanctuaries and give a sense of hope and accomplishment to the many people who have lost their homes to Haiyan.

Now, communities are building back better, safer,  and stronger homes with the help of the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement and development partners. The Red Cross Haiyan shelter program is spread across nine Haiyan-affected provinces: Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Cebu, Eastern Samar, Iloilo, Leyte, Palawan, and Western Samar.
